Our Team
Experts in women’s mental health, united by purpose.
Guided by evidence, grounded in empathy — meet the people behind Psychiatry for Women.

Our Story
Psychiatry for Women was created to do what most practices overlook: connect mental health with hormones. Too often, women are told their anxiety, mood swings, or fatigue are “all in their head.” We know better.
Founded by Dr. Julie R. Brownley, MD, PhD, a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in women’s mental health, our practice was built to fill the gap in care during life’s most hormonally intense chapters — from adolescence and fertility, to pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause.
We combine evidence-based psychiatry with a hormone-informed approach, so every woman gets care that truly fits her story.
