You’ve just taken a brave step by completing our screening survey. Thank you for sharing your information with us. We know it can feel vulnerable to reach out for care, and we want to reassure you: your responses are safe, valued, and already being reviewed by our team.

Step 1: Andi Reviews Your Screening Survey
Our practice manager, Andi, carefully reviews every survey. This step ensures we’re the right fit for your needs and helps us connect you with the right provider.
Step 2: Scheduling Within 2 Business Days
You can expect to hear from Andi within two business days. She’ll reach out by email or phone to ensure that you're a good fit and then to guide you through scheduling your first appointment. She will answer any logistical questions about getting started.
Step 3: Preparing for Your First Visit
Once you’re scheduled, you’ll receive a secure patient portal invitation. Inside, you can complete intake forms and provide background information. This helps your clinician understand your goals before your visit so you can spend more time on what matters most — your care.
Curious about what your first visit is like? Read our guide: Preparing for Your First Psychiatry Appointment.

While You Wait: Managing Anxiety
It’s completely normal to feel nervous while waiting for your first appointment. Here are some quick resets:
Box breathing: Inhale for 4, hold 4, exhale for 4, hold 4 (repeat for 2–3 minutes).
Grounding (5–4–3–2–1): Name 5 things you see, 4 you can touch, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, 1 you taste.
Gentle movement: Take a short walk or stretch.
Sensory reset: Try a warm shower, brew chamomile tea, or step outside for fresh air.
Supportive apps: Calm or The Tapping Solution offer quick guided tools.

You’re Not Alone

"The detailed breakdown of the post-screening process, particularly Andi's careful review to ensure a good fit, is such a thoughtful approach. This transparency really helps alleviate the natural anxiety individuals feel after taking that brave first step, fostering trust even before the first appointment. While the process is clearly laid out, many people are also curious about the specific types of assessments used to understand conditions like depression. For those looking for more insight into a widely used screening tool, exploring resources that explain the PHQ-9 depression questionnaire can be incredibly helpful."
